Comment: Sandi Glasscock was my best friend in high school. She and I both moved to Applewood from Texas at the same time. We only lived four houses away. That was a perfect match for a best friend. We lost contact shortly after graduating. I had gone to a Kansas City Chief/ San Diego Chargers game in San Diego back in the early 70's. I was walking through the lobby of the hotel before the game. Sandi and I ran right into each other! She was there for the same game. I think fate played a big hand in that one. We managed to lose touch again. We reconnected at the WRHS 25 year reunion. Come to find out we had both moved back to the DFW area and now only live about five miles away. We still keep in touch. Guess we were meant to be friends forever!
What's Up?: I recently had ankle replacement surgery and have been recovering from that. I was blessed to have found a wonderful surgeon who knew how to do this surgery. This is a fairly new surgery (there are only three doctors in the DFW who do ankle replacements). So far, so good! I should start physical therapy on it in a week or two. The replacement is made of titanium, so ya\'ll can start refering to me as The Bionic Woman.
Interests?: My Maltese named Spencer, my long haired chihuahua named Parker and my tuxedo cat named Frankie. We are one happy family!
Occupation? (or former occupation): Flight Attendant for 35 years. I took an \"early\" retirement in 2005 when Delta Airlines closed our DFW base.
Memories from High School: Making all the football posters to hang in the halls before the games. I also loved the Barns after the games. Those were some fun times!
More WRHS Memories ... : Linda Satre and I papered Bill Beggs house one night. He only lived a couple of houses away from her. Unfortunately, it had snowed and we left all our tracks leading to and from his house. Duh! |

What's Up?: New update July 2023: So, what have I been doing lately? I guess, growing a bit older and loosing a lot of hair. The good part is that I now comb my hair with a towel when I get out of the shower. Also good is that I finally retired after 45 years of practicing dentistry. And better still, I now tell all my freeloading family members they need to see my brother in law if they have dental problems. (Just joking, I had always been happy to help them) We\'re still living on Oak Creek just south of Sedona, AZ and raising chickens, turkeys and peacocks. And, between our property and my step mother in law's next door, I've got 4 acres of fruit and shade trees as well as some raised beds for gardening. So I guess I finally grew into becoming like our school's mascot and am now even more of a real life FARMER! Life is good!
Interests?: I still love to snow and water ski. Maybe now that I have a bit more time on my hands, I can get away more often to enjoy them. Unfortunately, my wife has developed thin blood over the years and she\'d be happier sitting in the lodge with a good book. I don\'t run like I used to but still have dreams of setting a new PR someday. One nice thing is that I\'m in an older age category and there\'s not so much competition. Cornville is good for gardening and being outside and not too far from Sedona, AZ. which has a lot of red rocks. It does get hot during the summer but not at all like Phoenix or Las Vegas. There\'s a creek on the property and it runs year-round (quite a novelty in the desert).
Occupation? (or former occupation): I\'m still doing the tooth thing after more than 33 years. Even if I could retire, which I can\'t, I imagine I will keep doing dentistry well past the time I can retire. (editor's note: see update above)
Memories from High School: Almost all of the bad memories must have long ago been forgotten. I only seem to remember images of the things we did back then. Maybe I can add some later on as I have time to think about this one.
More WRHS Memories ... : Mike Covillo once had a crush on Cher. |

Comment: I look forward to this reunion, just like I did to our 40th. That one resulted in Ernie Eason recruiting me for the Denver Concert Band, which has become one of my most enjoyable activites. Rediscovering music was a great outcome of the last reunion. I look forward to great things from this one.
What's Up?: I still work as a mediator and facilitator, but take time for music and travel with my family.
Interests?: I play trumpet in the Denver Concert Band (with my daughter Elizabeth) and the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra. Adrienne and I enjoy hiking trips (recently Iceland and Wales), and I continue to be a regular weight lifter.
Occupation? (or former occupation): I continue to work as a professional mediator and facilitator, directing Jefferson County Mediation Services and being an active partner in OvalOptions, a private conflict resolution firm.
Memories from High School: I spent most of my non-study time in the Band (symphonic, marching, etc.) and made many of my good friends, there. Spent time doing drama (one line in the senior play). Took the school work side of things very seriously.
More WRHS Memories ... : Ran for various school and class office and always got beaten by the popular folks. They were always nice people, so it was OK.
Higher Ed? Military? First Job? Travels?: Completed B.A. at Stanford; M.S. at Cornell and MPA at the University of Denver. Worked as a Colorado environmental regulator for 8 years and have spent the next 30 years in conflict resolution.

I want to continue to travel the world and hike its many trails until I can't. I also have a science fiction novel in the beginning stages. I still hope to finish it when I have the time.
