Hi everyone - I can't wait for the picnic on July 29. Please, everyone who CAN come, please come. Carol Eckland March
Hey!Hey! Been living on West slope, Grand Junction for 26 years. It's a very pleasant place. It's become more and more urban, but it reminds me of growing up in Wheatridge (just a tad more rural). I've begun having the mortality issues with age. Dreams almost gone. Now realizing the vitality, support and warmth of the family. I've believed in reincarnation for 50 years but who knows what lives we've lived and will live. We were privileged with our education and cultural environment. Thanks, Richard Sander
Hi, All So, what have I been doing lately? I guess, growing a bit older and loosing a lot of hair. The good part is that I now comb my hair with a towel when I get out of the shower. Also good is that I finally retired after 45 years of practicing dentistry. And better still, I now tell all my freeloading family members they need to see my brother in law if they have dental problems. (Just joking, I had always been happy to help them) We're still living on Oak Creek just south of Sedona, AZ and raising chickens, turkeys and peacocks. And, between our property and my step mother in law's next door, I've got 4 acres of fruit and shade trees as well as some raised beds for gardening. So I guess I finally grew into becoming like our school's mascot and am now even more of a real life FARMER! Life is good! -- Earl Lord
Please note change in my email address. Will be returning from conservation district national meeting in Bismarck, ND at the time of this years picnic so won't be able to attend. Have a great time. -- Gary Thanks for the update, Gary. We'll miss you at the picnic. --Laurie
Count me in, lord willing and the creek don't rise of course. -- Bobbi Himes
I'll be at the picnic! Looking forward to seeing everyone! Best, Carolyn
I plan to attend. Always good to see you all. Thanks, Bill Hessin Oops. Forgot about Boom Days in Leadville that weekend. Taking all the grandkids. Sorry. No Bueno. Hey Bill, I'm disappointed you will not be there, was looking forward to talking with you. --Gary Clark Me too --Bill Hessin
I'll be there! Looking forward to it! Laurie, thank you for all the work you continue to do for our class. -- Audrey Thanks for your kind words! --Laurie
Since I don't have a Denver Concert Band concert until that evening, Adrienne and I will be able to attend the class picnic, this year. It's an exciting year for us, with summer DCB concerts back on our agenda, our first grandchild due in late November, and a hiking and sightseeing trip to Norway planned for early in September. I am blessed to be healthy enough for all of that. Plus, although basically retired, do some work just to keep busy. I still do workplace mediation for the Postal Service and some other paid and volunteer conflict resolution work. I look forward to seeing those who can attend and am glad to at least catch up a bit with those who can't. -- Mark
Hi all. Every thing is good in Golden and retirement is keeping us busy or spending a day with no agenda is good too. Sorry to miss the picnic but a two week trip to Ireland is finally booked after two years cancelled from C-19 to attend a wedding. Gotta go now. Clock is ticking. Best regards Farmers. Chuck.
I cannot make it to your get together this year, but I wanted to update my email address for future potlucks! Ann Black (Critchell) Thanks for the update! --- Laurie
I'll be there -- Suzanne (Conyers) Stanfield
Am living in Colorado. Will do my best to attend the 2022 picnic. -- Mike Dorsey Hi Mike! Thanks for signing the guest book. Hope to see you at the picnic in August. -- Laurie
Thanks for the memories. Thank YOU for browsing the website!
Living the good life in gorgeous Soldotna, Alaska. Not retired, only because I love my job as an elementary school librarian :) Hope you all have fun. Hi, Sharon. We'll miss seeing you at the picnic. --Laurie
Always a good time at the annual picnic! I'll be there!
I just heard the awful news that Stan Politano was one of the people killed in that fiery crash last week. I'm in shock. Please send my sincere sympathies to his family. --- Cherie Ohlsson
Reunion Thoughts: I would gladly participate in a tractor pull, but I doubt there would be much interest or participation. Maybe a classic car/motorcycle show would attract a few people. -- Gary Griffith Gary, great idea about the classic cars. We'll add that for the 50th Reunion. -- Laurie
Hey! My husband and I moved a year and a half ago to Missouri. Any emails sent in that time were lost in cyberspace. My sister pointed out that there was info about a reunion so now I just have to catch up and update. We still have kids and grandkids in the Denver area so we do get back occasionally. -- Annette Quinn Curtis Hi, Annette! We're glad that you found us. Do check out all of the Reunion events. We hope you and your hubby can join us in September!
Dear Classmates, Sadly, I will be unable to attend our 50th WRHS Class Reunion due to family commitments this summer but wish you all well. It sounds like a great lineup of fun, good food and catching up with lifelong friends; so many, many thanks to all who put in such a great effort to make it all happen. Some of you I've known since 1st grade . . . wow, now that's a l-o-n-g time ago, 62 years! Last summer I had the rare opportunity to revisit Mountain View Elementary School, now a tiny charter school where my niece teaches. Though not much has changed inside or out, it felt somewhat smaller. The trip brought back many childhood memories, lots of smiles and even a few tears. Time certainly has marched on for each of us, but life continues to be great. Please keep in touch, and best wishes to the WRHS Class of 1967! We will always be the "mighty, mighty FARMERS!" God bless you all, Barbara (Ownbey) Castillo Scottsdale, AZ Great to hear from you, Barbara! We'll miss you at the Reunion!
Laurie, the site looks good. Good work! I have to say, it is sobering how many of us have passed on. Every day is a gift, right?
The website is so great - thanks to all of you who put in the time & effort. --Carol Eckland March
Hello All, Great Website - thank you for making this possible to keep in touch. -M
Really like the new site...fun to see what so many classmates are up to! We live in Ridgway, CO, but get to Denver frequently to see my 2 year old grand daughter (& her parents of course). My youngest daughter lives in Denver also, and we have one daughter who lives in Perth, Australia. We have traveled to Europe twice with Doug Kline and his wife, Pam & I got a surprise visit from Christy Patrick when she was on one of her camping adventures to our area of Colorado! I play Words with Friends with Rene Oya, but those are about the only high school contacts I have these days. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me..
Great Website, You all did a fantastic job. -- Linda (Putnam) Griffin
Love this new website. --Suzanne
The rumors about my death have been greatly exaggerated. I'm alive and well in San Francisco and hope to receive updates regarding our 50 year class reunion. So many of our friends will be missed like Freddie and Rick. I hope more of us have just been misplaced like me. Oh, Cherri! We are so sorry that we had you listed as one of our dearly departed classmates! As you can see, you've been lost but not forgotten. Thanks for getting in touch with us, and we definitely will send you Reunion updates. Mark your calendar for Sept. 21-24, 2017!
Ernie Eason and I were in symphonic band and orchestra together. Some of the best times we spent together were in his living room playing big band jazz. Great memories! Look forward to seeing you all in September 2017. Hard to believe that life can pass in such a flash. -- John Gray
Hello Christy, My good friend John Styker passed away a few years ago from cancer. Geoff Bjork Sorry to hear about John. We will add him to the class Memorial page. Thank you for letting us know.
This is Pete Maki from the class of 67 . After living in Arkansas for the past 15 years, we decided to move to Grand Junction to be close to our grand-children. Good to be back in the state again. Here is our new email. Thank you, Pete Maki Hi Pete! Thanks for the update!
Larry Snodgrass forwarded an email to me that I'm on your lost list. Here's my info so you have one less person to look for! Thank you, Dave (and Larry, too!). One by one, classmates are turning up!
Hi, This is Gary Osborn. Class of 67 I now live in Loveland. Married for 35 years and have 1 Grand Daughter. I hung out with Cleve Hammond and Andy and Bobby Pietrafeso all through High School. Cleve sent me an email and said I was one of the missing. Not so. -- Gary Welcome back, Gary! We knew you weren't really missing, just that we couldn't find you. Thanks for updating your current email.
I did the unthinkable, I attended three uniquely different High Schools, and was fortunate enough to graduate from Wheatridge, The Colorado Football Champions, and cuminate so many happy memories, at that time in my life. Good memories are those blessings that carry us through the toughest of times, like when I was in the Marine Corps and in Vietnam for it seems like forever, in 68'-69', lost my father unepexpectedly, in Jan 69, etc. The memories of friends and family lifted my heart to endure! I think of those classmates we've lost along the way, and I feel that I am lucky to still be alive and well, to be part of that cheering section, to carry those of my friends still here, to happy times once again! Bless you all, I'm in the Chattanooga Valley, area, in the North West Corner of Georgia, loving the weather and the scenery. Hope to attend, and see you all in 2017. Denny
Hi to whoever is in charge of the webpage for us! I need to update my profile. How do I get into that link? Can you tell I am NOT very computer savvy? I am excited about the 50th Reunion! Is there a committee working on it now? I am thinking maybe one or two of us in Northern CO might want to be involved. Hope to hear from someone soon. Rene Good to hear from you, Rene! I'll PM your login info. Regarding the 50th Reunion, there will be a planning meeting early in January and anyone who wishes to be involved is encouraged to attend. Details will be sent out after the holidays. Stay tuned! -- Laurie
I retired the end of May and do not know if you have my home email address. I have not received any of the emails about Freddie so you probably still have my job email address. Looking forward to our 50th Reunion! Hi Bonnie! Thanks for the update. Sorry that our Freddie emails did not reach you. Halloween shout out to other Zombie Classmates! If you don't update your email with us, you become part of the '67 Walking Dead!
"We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give." (--W. Churchill) The WRHS committee has given us so much with all the communications, this site, events, picnics and the really big reunion coming up in 2017 . Any sneak-peak details? Just as an aside, over the years, I've just plain run-into by chance Mr. Norton, Miss. Lynen, Miss. Klemm and Mr. Mahaffey. We sure had some inspiring teachers, and were very blessed to have them in our lives, even for just a year or two, didn't we?
Kathy and I plan to attend the Sept 30 evening event and anticipate also staying over for the game Oct 1. Looking forward to seeing many older faces of old friends. Thanks for letting us know about this and setting up seating for Bower's presentation. dave
Really cool things happening at WRHS, I am proud of our class:).
Moved back to the Denver area (from Estes Park) to be closer to family. Thanks for the recent info on Freddie Steinmark.
Great website. See everyone Sept 30th for Freddie tribute. Memories of him for me go back to Wilmore Davis Elementary School through WRHS. Nice job Bower putting this together. November movie will be a must see for my 13 year old Grandson who plays football in Arvada.
I guess I need to send in a new picture. The "now" one shows far more hair than I currently have, not to mention a face that has far less mileage than it does currently. My wife just asked if I had plans to attend the 50th. I wasn't sure we were having one so looked up this website. Hope to see ya'll there! Earl Hi Earl! Glad you found the Class of '67 website! We've uploaded your more recent photo. Yes, we plan to have a 50th Reunion -- we'll be sending out details soon, so stay tuned!
"I was a member of class 1967. Although I was not lucky enough to graduate with the class, I must admit, I have fond memories of those years. Since high school I found a wonderful husband and father of my children and feel very blessed. I am very interested in learning what's up with everyone. I would like to be involved with any further reunions up-coming."
Would appreciate updates from my friends! My only update is spending alot of time with great-niece now 12. Hope to hear soon. Been out of touch for a long time. --Jack
Rod Barringer, thanks for reaching out to find me. I live in Elk City, OK with my wife, Joyce, of 44 years. We still have family in Denver area and we make it up there a couple times a year. I don't know about you guys but being able to start taking Social Security this year is a total mind blower!! LOL.
I found this website and see that I'm Lost in the Fields. Consider me found. Thanks!
Looking forward to the 50th!!
Great job! Thanks for the memories, after all, ultimately it's what life is all about.
Hi, I just submitted my profile, and if you would like to add a "before" photo from the year book, the only one is in the supplement with me in my skimpy track uni and I am running for the camera. Hope all is well with you all. I am writing from Arusha, Tanzania and will travel to a small town where I taught English for a year in 2009. God is good to me. Life is hard here but I have such great people to hang with. Love ya all. Steve Hi Steve! Your profile is posted. Found the "then" photo (not very clear, sorry). Your "now" pictures from Africa are posted in the "Recent" Photo Album. Our best wishes to you and for your work in Tanzania.
Hi, I see you have me lost in the fields. While I may be lost, I am still among the living, so please put me in the correct category. Thanks, Bart J. Hartman Welcome Bart! Glad to know you are still kicking! What else have you been doing? Send us an update for the Classmate Profiles. Happy New Year from your WRHS'67 webmaster!
Love the new site. Thanks for all the effort to make it exquisitely functional. --Bobbi Himes
