Greetings! Just a note to respond and ask you to update our email address. We won't be able to come to this event, unfortunately. I'm sure it will be a great time! --Kris & Steve Hart Billings MT
Thank you, Laurie. Please keep me on the list. Once again I won't be able to attend, but one of these years ... Enjoy the summer and the Picnic! Jim Sykes Alaska
Wish we could be there but we live in Grand Junction and it is not always easy to find a weekend to travel. My husband and I are both doing well and I hope that we can join the picnic next year. Thanks for including me in the invitation!! Hope you all have a great time. I still keep in touch with Bonnie Shaver (Pomarico) on a regular basis - we are both the best of friends. Marilyn
Hi Laurie, Thanks for always keeping us all in touch. Unfortunately we don't have plans to be in the Denver area on August 7. All of our kids have come here to visit in the last couple of months so we have not needed to come to the Front Range. We're sure glad 2020 is behind us. All is well here. I'm grateful for every day and feeling good. We are braving terribly hot temps here in Fruita. It was 108 yesterday! Hope all is well with you and Ernie. Dave sends his hello. Thanks again for all you do and I loved your message about how important it is to have friends. Kathy
Sounds like Fun but I will be out of town for my Aunt’s 100th birthday. Sorry will miss seeing everyone. Karen Toscano Yeager
Hello Fellow Farmers, I was wondering if anyone has the Yearbooks and Summer Supplements, and would be willing to bring them to the picnic? Mine is being held hostage and we can’t find Kerry’s. I would appreciate it so much! Thanks, Linda (Wheeler) Hada
Hope you have a good reunion this year. I will not be attending as I have family seasonal rental property in Central New York that keeps me tied up. -- Barbara
I am interested in attending the picnic, thanks, Allen
I now live in Tennessee and our granddaughter is arriving on the 3rd of August. Have a great time. Charles
Wishing everyone from the Class of ‘67 the very best. Wish I could be at this year’s picnic, but it’s just not possible this time. Many thanks, Barbara Ownbey Castillo
Wish I could make it. I'll be in Colorado on the 16th - can you reschedule? I think I know the answer. I'm sure you will have a great time without me, though! --Tim
Hi Laurie, I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend due to my work schedule, but I wanted to respond so you know you have my correct email address. Thanks and good luck, Marc Greene
Laurie, I am moving back to Hot Springs, South Dakota. Truly doubt I will be participating in the Class 70th birthday. Have a good time and thank you for all you do! --Georgia
Wow, First time I have been contacted. I won’t be there, but thanks for effort to get ahold of me. Curious, how many have you all contacted? Have the reunions been a success in the past? Again, thanks for invite, and good luck with a great turn out. -- Mary Boettcher
I will be in Alaska where my son lives and I spend part of my time. Have fun and thanks for organizing this. Gayle Surmeier Dudley. Steamboat
Thanks for keeping me posted about the events, Laurie. I'm going to be out of town on the 3rd but I would like to keep up and try to do something in the future. -- John Leslie
Laurie, Just wanted to let you know that Kerry and I will not be attending this year. We have his mom with us now and don’t feel right leaving her with anyone yet. Enjoy and please give everyone our best. Linda
It's hard to believe that people I graduated high school with are turning 70. I'm pretty certain that I have a decade or so before that happens to me. If only my knees agreed. Early August we host our grand-kids for their annual "Grandma's Camp" and we see how much Oregon fun we can pack into their few weeks. They are 12 and 14 so probably not too many more years of them finding interest in us. As such, we won't be traveling to Colorado this summer. Thanks for keeping me in the loop. Cheers, Doug Wise
Happy birthday, a day late, Laurie. Yes…70 does seem like a very big number. I am not so sure about the reunion picnic. I enjoyed all the events I have been to: 10th, 20th or 25th and 40th plus several picnics, but am sorry I missed the 50th. I was in my usual favorite place of San Diego at the time. A rip tide caught me during the reunion that afternoon, but two lifeguards managed to swim out past the Crystal Pier and rescue me. I owe them one, huh? Hi to the classmates of Wheat Ridge, class of 1967—one of the best ever in academics, extracurricular and sports, I am told. And we always were such a friendly bunch, to boot. Thanks for keeping in touch --John
Re: the Picnic. replying just to confirm my email. I will be in Santa Fe Nm on business that day. Enjoy. -- Gary
So enjoyed reading about our classmates but also so sorry to see how many have passed away . . . we’re all getting to that stage in our lives. I doubt I’ll be getting back to Colorado again, as NC is our last home; but please give my best wishes to the Class of ‘67! Would love to connect with anyone who cares to contact me. Best wishes to all! Barbara Ownby Castillo
What a great reunion weekend! Thank you to the steering committee and reunion committee members who worked for months putting special touches on all the events. We attended the Friday night "Barn", the concert on Saturday and the Saturday night dinner. All events were fantastic. So much work went into the little things like decorations, centerpieces, WRHS mugs and the schedule of events. It was all appreciated. It really was fun to reconnect with everyone. Ernie Eason, the concert was so enjoyable. To think there was an age span of 70 years on that stage is remarkable. Thank you for making it possible. The memorial tribute on Saturday night was very touching and sobering. It was very well done and a moving tribute to those who have left us. And Laurie Parker Eason, you seemed to be everywhere all weekend making sure all was in order as well as being the person sending the emails ahead of time. Thank you for all of your energy. None of this would have happened without all of you who planned all the events. Dave and I send our heartfelt thanks to all of you. Until next time........ Kathy Jansen Dirks
Through Conservation association fund raising auction we bought 2 tickets on Durango Silverton Train for summer 2017. Open invitatiion for others wanting to ride scenic narrow gauge railroad. Coordinate dates with us and we have extra bedroom. -- Gary
Hi everyone. Thought I would let you all know (after all these years) that I am not missing. Moved to Alaska in 1986 and have been here since. Just saw the dates for the reunion and would love to be there. It probably won't happen though as school is back in session and taking time off in September is rough. Hope you all have a most amazing time. -- Sharon
I’m glad to see we are trying again. We’re going to try to be there! Thanx, Robb Griffin
RE: The 2022 Alumni Picnic - - Fantastic - I was thinking about the possibility recently - I wouldn't miss it!!! -- Carol Eckland March
Dear Laurie, Linda and I have a prior commitment and cannot attend this summer. Please say hello to everyone for us. Thank you for all your efforts each year. -- Kerry Hada
I would love to come to the Picnic. I feel like I’m out of the loop. I will put it on my calendar. I’m sure it will be a lot of fun. -- Bev [Boyce] Winter
Getting to help with the reunion has been very special. It allowed me to better know some I never knew, and reacquaint with some I did know. Also after 40 years of not staying in contact with my best high school friend Russ Mallander, we just connected again. WRHS was the positive catalyst in my life, and I am really looking forward to everything in the reunion.
Thanks for finding me, I got lost after the 20th. Looking forward to seeing everybody.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone and to the festivities!!!
Gary and Denise Griffith will be able to attend some but not all of the 50th Reunion events. We will have a car in the car show. Oooh! Looking forward to seeing your wheels!
Thanks to all of you who spend countless hours planning our events and keeping everyone in touch. Your hard work is greatly appreciated. If I can do anything to help at the reunion, my hand is held up. My best to all, Cherie Thanks for your kind words! We'll see you at the Reunion!
We will be at the Reunion! We want to bowl and golf and, and and we want to do everything! How about a group to go to Casa Bonita?
Can't wait to see you all at the Reunion!
We've lived here in Sandy, Utah, for over 40 years now, and don't see a move in the foreseeable future. But is the future ever foreseeable? The members of our family all live within 2 hours of us, except our eldest son, Scott, who lives in Tucson, as he is in the Border Patrol down there. We do a lot of things with our family, and spend a lot of time with the grandkids, who range from 24 yrs. down to 10 months old. I think having good neighbors is one of the secrets to enjoying the place where you live! I also wish you an enjoyable time at the reunion next Saturday--it's like the old poem goes, "Make new friends, but keep the old; one is silver and the other is gold..." Or something like that! Either way, enjoy your experiences--they do become precious memories! --Louise and Larry Maloy
August 2021 already! Once again my summer travels are booked with Conservation Association work. Heading to Jackson Hole for a summer Southwest/Pacific Regional meeting. Wishing you all well as you celebrate our joint heritage.
